In 1973 English rocker Ronnie Lane left the band Faces as he had become disillusioned with rock and roll stardom.

"Can you show me a dream? ", was a favorite question Ronnie would ask as he tried to make his own dreams come true.

Ronnie still wanted to entertain and play all kinds of music so he put together a group of like-minded rollicking musicians and formed the band Slim Chance.

To promote his new music he bought an old circus tent and vehicles with a dream of taking their show on the road like a bunch of minstrels, touring the back roads and playing small "variety" shows with great music and a colorful assortment of entertainers,

Ronnie's concept is the inspiration for " The New Cape Cod Post Apocalyptic Passing Show".

To create a Cape Cod local entertainment "vehicle" which will present local talent of all ages and genres, and create an exciting new local "variety show" featuring all types of entertainment.

To produce uplifting "farm to table entertainment" of the "old school",

with new twists; thrills, spills, chills, laughter, song, and dance.

The Passing Show will be produced as a TV and online streaming series of six high energy, fast-paced "variety" shows to be screened and streamed through the fall and winter of 2020.

To develop a live variety show, ready to present to local audiences, the moment COVID restrictions are reduced or lifted. Response to the TV shows will determine which artists audiences would like to see in the live shows.

Cape Cod performers of all ages and from all genres are invited to record up to a five-minute video "cameo" of their very best show material. Video recordings can be self -recorded on phones and submitted by email or can be scheduled to be recorded at The Cape Cod Media Center in Dennis.

The producers will create a series of six, thirty-minute shows edited from all the footage received.

Final selections will be edited to create a fast-paced video montage show produced for maximum entertainment and to appeal to all audience demographics.

Talent submissions will be accepted until October 21st 2020.

The TV and online shows will be ready for release by November 20th and run repeatedly on all community channels, YouTube, and on-demand streaming indefinitely.

COVID climate permitting a live Holiday Show in December will be used to launch the "live" show concept with a full Cape Cod town by town tour to follow into the Spring and Summer of 2021.

The New Cape Cod Post Apocalyptic Passing Show is NOT a talent contest but

a TALENT SEARCH. Our goal is to present "Farm to Table Entertainment" to the Cape Community.
